Acoustic Dome Pendant Lights for Commercial Interiors
Bring focused downward illumination and sound-absorbing PET felt closer to tables, seating groups and conversation zones. The FLT-DP Series combines a recognizable dome profile with three practical diameters, an E27 lamp holder supplied with a matched LED light source, and project-based customization for commercial interiors, wholesale programs and distributor supply.
Light, Acoustic Comfort and a Softer Interior
The deeper profile creates a more enclosed visual relationship with the activity below than an acoustic panel pendant light or open-center acoustic ring pendant light. It supports downward illumination while introducing porous felt surfaces close to desks, tables and seating groups.

Deep Dome Geometry
A recognizable concave profile defines the occupied zone without requiring a large ceiling raft.

PET Felt Surface
Porous felt absorbs a portion of reflected sound energy; installed contribution depends on size and quantity.

Focused Downlight
The supplied LED lamp and diffuser deliver localized light with a project value of 90° beam angle.

Manufacturer Options
Coordinate felt color, size, lamp, CCT, suspension, voltage, labeling and packaging for project supply.
Three Dome Sizes, One Coordinated Product Family
Choose the diameter by relating the pendant to the furniture footprint, desired visual scale and lighting requirement—not from room size alone.
Acoustic Dome Pendant Light - Soft Material Above the Places Where People Meet
The FLT-DP Series uses a formed PET felt shade and an E27 lamp holder. Each standard fixture is supplied with a matched E27 LED light source, providing the stated model-specific power, lumen output, CCT and beam angle.
The supplied LED source can be replaced with another compatible E27 light source when its voltage, physical dimensions, wattage, thermal conditions and intended use meet the fixture and project requirements. Performance data may change when a different light source is installed.
The dome body adds acoustic material around a concentrated activity zone. It does not soundproof the room and should be coordinated with the complete acoustic lighting plan.

25+ Standard PET Felt Colors
Coordinate acoustic dome pendant lights in one felt color family, create a mixed-color ceiling composition, or request custom matching for branded interiors, distributor ranges and volume programs.
Color is part of the acoustic product, not a painted surface applied after production. Specify the color reference early so the sample, dome surface, lamp-holder detail, canopy and cable can be reviewed as one system. For repeat orders, confirm batch consistency and retain an approved physical sample.
Standard colors simplify sampling and lead-time planning, while custom colors may require additional quantity and development time. Exact availability, MOQ and color tolerance are confirmed with the quotation.
* Screen colors are indicative. Request physical felt samples for accurate approval.

Dome Lighting for Defined Commercial Zones
Position each dome in deliberate relationship to the table, seating group or consultation point below, maintaining realistic scale, comfortable clearance and an orderly ceiling layout.
How the Dome Shapes Light and Sound
The formed shade places vertical and curved felt surfaces around the light source. This can add useful absorption close to a conversation or work zone while visually screening the lamp from shallow side angles.
Curved felt surface
Receives reflected sound from more than one direction, but performance still depends on the tested construction.
Localized light below
The dome and 90° distribution concentrate attention on the table or seating group beneath the fixture.
Not a soundproof enclosure
The pendant supports reverberation control; it does not block sound transmission or guarantee a room-level result.
E27 Interface, Supplied LED Source and Future Replacement
E27 identifies the lamp-holder interface. Every standard FLT-DP fixture is delivered with an LED source selected to match its published wattage and lumen package, while retaining the option to install another compatible E27 source later. For a different E27-based felt profile, compare the felt shade acoustic pendant light.

E27 Holder + Matched LED Source
The supplied light source is part of the standard fixture package and is the basis for the published lighting specifications.
• 9W / 900lm for FLT-DP-350
• 12W / 1200lm for FLT-DP-550
• 18W / 1800lm for FLT-DP-770
• 90° beam angle and selected 2700–6000K CCT

Other Compatible E27 Sources
A different E27 source may be installed when its electrical rating, wattage, heat output and intended use are compatible with the fixture.
• Confirm voltage and physical clearance
• Observe the permitted wattage and thermal limits
• Check dimmer and control compatibility
• Recalculate lighting when output or beam angle changes
Match Dome Diameter and Suspension Height to the Zone Below
Start with the furniture footprint and the intended task. Then coordinate fixture size, mounting height, quantity and spacing with lighting calculations, acoustic planning and the reflected ceiling plan.

Ø350 × H180mm
Use over compact café tables, individual focus desks, consultation points or small seating positions.

Ø550 × H300mm
Use above two-to-four-person tables, touchdown desks, small collaboration zones and hospitality seating.

Ø770 × H400mm
Use where a larger meeting table, lounge group or shared work zone needs stronger visual presence.
From Standard Dome to Market-Ready Configuration
Feltlite helps translate the standard dome into a project-ready configuration by coordinating its geometry, felt finish, light source, suspension, electrical requirements and delivery details. Reviewing these elements as one complete fixture helps maintain consistency from sample approval through production and installation.
The process starts with the relationship between the pendant and the space below. Dome size, mounting height and light output are considered together with furniture scale, sightlines, ceiling services and the intended acoustic contribution, rather than being selected as isolated options.
Early coordination also creates a clearer route from the approved sample to repeatable production. Color references, electrical details, compliance documents, labeling, packaging and spare-light-source requirements can be confirmed before the final order is released.
Acoustic Dome Pendant Light Questions
Explore the practical questions that shape a well-coordinated installation—from acoustic expectations and light-source compatibility to fixture sizing, suspension height, maintenance and ceiling layout.
Acoustic lighting combines a functional luminaire with sound-absorbing material in one suspended product. In an acoustic dome pendant, the light illuminates the occupied area below while the porous PET felt shade adds absorptive surface within the room.
They can reduce reflected sound and contribute to shorter reverberation, especially when several fixtures provide meaningful exposed felt area. The audible result depends on the tested construction, fixture quantity, room volume and the amount of other hard or absorptive surfaces.
PET felt is a porous polyester-fibre material that can be formed into lightweight acoustic shapes. Its fibrous structure absorbs part of the sound energy that would otherwise reflect from hard surfaces, while also providing color and material texture.
There is no reliable room-size-only rule. Quantity and spacing should be developed from the required illuminance, fixture output, furniture layout, ceiling coordination and acoustic target. Lighting calculations and an acoustic assessment should confirm the final arrangement.
A common design starting point is roughly 750–900mm above a dining or meeting tabletop, measured to the bottom of the pendant. Large shades, commercial clearances, glare, seated sightlines, ceiling height and the lighting calculation may require a different drop.
They can form part of the general-lighting system, but lumen output alone cannot confirm the result. A project calculation should check maintained illuminance, uniformity, glare, surface reflectance and whether supplementary ambient or emergency lighting is required.
Yes, provided the replacement has a compatible voltage, base, physical envelope, wattage, heat output and intended operating conditions. A different lamp may change lumen output, beam distribution, CCT, dimming behavior and the fixture's overall lighting performance.
Remove loose dust with a soft brush, microfiber cloth or low-suction vacuum brush. Test any spot-cleaning method on an inconspicuous area first, and avoid soaking, bleach, strong solvents or abrasive scrubbing unless written care guidance permits it.
A regular pendant is selected primarily for illumination and appearance. An acoustic pendant also incorporates absorptive material, so its size, exposed felt area, quantity and placement should be considered as part of the room-acoustic strategy.
No. Sound absorption and soundproofing are different. PET felt can help control echo and reverberation inside a room, but it does not prevent sound from passing through walls, doors, glazing or ceiling voids.
Start with the table, desk or seating group beneath the fixture rather than the room alone. Compare the available dome diameter with the furniture footprint, mounting height, required light coverage, sightlines and desired visual scale before selecting a model.
Spacing depends on dome diameter, beam spread, mounting height and the layout below. Arrange pendants around work points or tables first, then check illuminance uniformity, visual rhythm, suspension clearances and access to ceiling services.
E27 identifies a 27mm Edison-screw lamp-holder interface; it does not by itself describe wattage, lumen output, beam angle or color temperature. The standard fixture is supplied with a matched E27 LED source that establishes the published lighting package.
Warm 2700–3000K light often suits hospitality and lounge settings, while 3500–4000K is commonly considered for workplaces and learning spaces. The final CCT should coordinate with the interior palette, adjacent lighting, task needs and project standard.
Project configurations can coordinate the felt finish, cable, canopy, suspension length and compatible light-source requirements. Confirm physical samples, electrical requirements, quantities and approved details before production.
