Choose a standard compact or architectural ring, or coordinate diameter, felt finish, output, CCT, dimming, suspension and packaging with a custom acoustic ring pendant light manufacturer. Feltlite supports commercial acoustic ring lighting for OEM, wholesale, distributor and project supply.
A Circular Luminaire with an Open Acoustic Core
An acoustic ring pendant light is a suspended architectural luminaire in which an illuminated circular profile and porous felt absorber form one coordinated product. It may also be specified as an acoustic circular pendant light, acoustic halo pendant light or circular acoustic luminaire. Unlike a solid round panel, the center remains open, preserving ceiling visibility and producing a distinctive halo effect.
The product brings absorptive material closer to occupied areas without filling the entire ceiling plane. It is intended to complement a room-acoustic strategy—not to soundproof a room or guarantee a fixed reduction in noise.
For projects requiring a solid circular disc or rectangular raft, compare our acoustic panel pendant lights.
Acoustic Ring Pendant Light Series
One open-center architectural form, available in two standard scales. Both models coordinate PET felt, continuous LED illumination and commercial control options while serving different furniture footprints and room sizes.
Choose the compact ring for smaller tables and repeated layouts. Use the larger architectural ring where the pendant must establish a stronger relationship with a boardroom table, lounge group or reception zone. Final quantity still requires lighting and acoustic review.
Acoustic Ring LED Pendant — Circular Light and Sound-Absorbing Structure
This PET felt ring pendant light integrates a continuous LED source with an absorptive circular body. The acoustic LED ring pendant creates a clear halo while adding felt surface close to the activity zone. Its open center keeps the ceiling visually connected and makes the product suitable for exposed structures, finished ceilings and high-visibility feature areas.
The Ø670mm model is proportioned for compact meeting areas, restaurant tables and repeated layouts. The Ø1224mm model offers greater visual scale and output for boardrooms, lounges and reception seating.

Where Acoustic Ring Pendant Lights Work Best
Acoustic ring pendant lights work best when their circular geometry is coordinated with a clearly defined activity zone below. Rather than treating the ring as an isolated decorative object, designers should relate its diameter, suspension height, light output and acoustic surface to the furniture layout, circulation routes, ceiling services and acoustic requirements of the space.
The following applications demonstrate how acoustic ring lighting can support different commercial interiors. Final fixture size, quantity and spacing should still be confirmed through lighting calculations, acoustic planning and reflected ceiling coordination.
Acoustic Treatment Without Closing the Ceiling
The ring form is valuable where designers want sound-absorbing material and a strong visual identity while retaining a sense of height, openness and ceiling continuity.
The opening can visually frame a meeting table, seating group or circulation node without creating the heavier appearance of a solid acoustic cloud. In exposed-ceiling interiors it also allows the slab, services and material character above to remain part of the design.
A ring does not automatically outperform a solid panel acoustically. A solid panel normally offers more horizontal surface within the same outer diameter, while a deeper ring can expose useful vertical felt area. Compare the complete fixture construction and tested absorption—not the shape name alone.
- Preserves ceiling visibility and visual openness
- Creates a recognizable halo and zoning element
- Works as one large feature or a coordinated group
- Pairs naturally with round tables and curved circulation
- Reduces the need to coordinate a separate decorative ring and absorber
Choose the Circular Form That Fits the Project
Both products combine lighting and PET felt, but they create different ceiling expressions and distribute acoustic material differently.

Specify Acoustic and Lighting Performance Separately
A credible acoustic ring luminaire needs two parallel evaluations: how much useful light reaches the space and how much verified absorption the complete fixture contributes.
CRI ≥90
High color rendering supports natural material, finish and skin-tone appearance in professional interiors.
UGR Options
Glare performance depends on the selected model, output, optics, suspension and room geometry.
DALI / 0–10 V
Project control options allow coordination with common commercial lighting strategies.
Project Data
Photometric, acoustic and compliance information must be confirmed for the approved configuration.
Important acoustic note: a material NRC should not be presented as the universal performance of every ring size. Suspended luminaires are discrete objects; diameter, felt height, exposed area, airspace, construction and quantity affect total absorption. Where verified complete-fixture testing is available, Sabins per fixture or equivalent absorption area is more useful for room calculations.
Until a selected model has matching test data, describe PET felt as supporting reverberation control and avoid promising a fixed reduction in noise or RT60. Read why NRC alone does not describe a complete acoustic luminaire.
Acoustic Ring Pendant Light Questions
Answers for architects, lighting specifiers, contractors, distributors and project buyers.
It is a suspended architectural luminaire that combines a circular LED light source with sound-absorbing material, usually PET felt. Its center remains open, distinguishing it from a solid round acoustic panel light. It provides illumination and adds absorption within the occupied room, but it does not soundproof the building envelope.
A conventional LED ring pendant is primarily an illuminated metal or polymer profile. A sound absorbing ring light adds porous material and a geometry intended to contribute to room-acoustic treatment. The terms acoustic circular light and acoustic halo light may describe the same open-center product type, but the complete construction and verified data must still be compared; a felt-like appearance alone does not prove meaningful absorption.
An acoustic ring has an open center and concentrates its material around the circular perimeter. A round acoustic panel is a solid disc with a broader horizontal surface. Rings preserve ceiling visibility and create a halo; solid panels provide a fuller cloud appearance. See the round and rectangular acoustic panel pendant series.
They absorb a portion of reflected sound energy and can support lower reverberation when correctly sized and distributed. They do not block sound transmission between rooms and should not be described as a universal noise-reduction guarantee. Installed performance depends on the complete fixture, quantity, suspension, room volume and other finishes.
NRC describes the absorptiveness of a tested material or assembly, while Sabins describe total absorption supplied by an object or area. For a discrete suspended ring, complete-fixture Sabins or equivalent absorption area is normally more useful for room calculations. Always check the test method and ensure the data matches the selected size and construction.
There is no fixed number. Lighting quantity depends on required illuminance, uniformity, mounting height, optics and room reflectance. Acoustic quantity depends on target reverberation time, room volume, existing absorption and verified absorption per fixture. Both calculations should inform the final layout.
Relate the ring to the table footprint and the surrounding clearance. A compact ring can suit a small meeting table, while the Ø1224mm model creates a stronger focal point over a larger boardroom or lounge zone. The light must remain visually proportional and provide suitable illumination without obstructing sightlines.
The correct drop depends on ceiling height, ring diameter, furniture, viewing angles, light distribution and local clearance requirements. Keep the fixture clear of standing occupants and coordinate it with sprinklers, sensors, diffusers and access panels. High or sloped ceilings require a project-specific suspension review.
They can in some applications, but this must be confirmed with photometric calculations. Delivered lumen, beam distribution, spacing, mounting height and surface reflectance determine illuminance and uniformity. Other spaces may combine rings with downlights, linear lighting or indirect ambient light.
Feltlite standard project options include DALI, 0–10 V, Triac and On/Off configurations. Confirm input voltage, driver, dimming range, control-system compatibility and driver location before ordering. Not every combination is automatically available for every market or product size.
Warm 2700K–3000K options often suit hospitality and lounge environments, while 3000K–4000K is common in workplaces and education. Higher or tunable values may be requested for specific projects. CRI ≥90 supports more natural rendering of people and interior finishes.
A custom size acoustic ring light can include a project-specific diameter, profile, felt finish, LED output, CCT, driver, cable length, canopy, labeling and packaging, subject to engineering and order review. Larger diameters may require segmented construction, additional suspension points and special logistics.
Provide model or target diameter, quantity, felt color, voltage, CCT, CRI, dimming, suspension drop, destination country, certification requirements, schedule and packaging needs. Floor plans, reflected ceiling plans and furniture layouts help verify product scale and placement.
Depending on the project, request dimension drawings, installation instructions, IES or LDT files, CAD/BIM models, acoustic test data, fire-performance documents, electrical certificates, environmental declarations and cleaning guidance. Availability must be verified for the approved model and configuration.
